The Recreation Department offers a wide range of leisure classes for valley residents of all ages. All classes are offered at either a monthly or one time fee, and registrations are taken at the District office at Meadow Park. Our fall youth class lineup includes gymnastics, art, and karate while we offer adult classes in Ballroom Dancing, Beginning Drawing, Yoga and Pickle Ball. Instructors are experienced and skilled and looking forward to meeting your needs. Visit the District office and get a free one-time class voucher. Youth Basketball Where: Meadow Park Gym; Big Bear High School, Big Bear Middle School Come join The Big Bear Youth Hoops League. Be a part of over 300 players contributing to a fun, fair and enriching experience. League rules stipulate that each child plays on half of every game. Who: Boys and Girls ages 4 years through 8th grade. Leagues are broken down as follows: Pee Wee One - 4-5 Years Old (co-ed) Pee Wee Two - 6-7 Years Old (co-ed) 3rd and 4th - Separate Boys and Girls 5th and 6th - Separate Boys and Girls 7th and 8th - Separate Boys and Girls When: Registration period begins October 9th through December 11th at the Recreation Office in Meadow Park. All games are played on Saturdays between January 7th and March 3rd at Big Bear High School. Practices are held once per week during the evening.
